The Women’s Resource Center Gala, an annual event to raise awareness about the effects of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking on individuals, families and the community, is scheduled for Friday, October 16, Sam Noble Museum, 2401 Chautauqua Ave.

Our keynote speaker is Elizabeth Smart, survivor, and advocate. The abduction of Elizabeth Smart was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. Elizabeth was abducted on June 5, 2002, and her captors controlled her by threatening to kill her and her family if she tried to escape. Fortunately, the police safely returned Elizabeth back to her family on March 12, 2003 after being held prisoner for nine grueling months.


We will once again celebrate the people who have dedicated their lives to the field of gender-based violence. We are honoring three individuals who have served others in the field of domestic and sexual violence.

The Visionary Voice award will honor someone who has spent their life working to empower victims; The Passion award will honor someone who works with those affected by domestic or sexual violence; and the Partnership award will honor a representative of one of our many community partners.

When we make our technology or services available to business partners, we will not share with them any more consumer information than is necessary, and we will make every reasonable effort to assure, by contract or otherwise, that they use our technology and services in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.
