Providing Hope for Community Cats

Hope came running toward her caregiver each morning, greeting her with the sweetest little chirps along the way. She was trapped and made biscuits of contentment all throughout the car ride. Every volunteer who met her was a witness to her beautiful spirit. We found rescue placement and we had so much hope for her future.
On her spay day, the clinic noticed that she was having trouble breathing. They suspected a diaphragmatic hernia, and x-rays confirmed it was a severe case. The kindest thing we could do for her was help end her suffering.

For most community cats, their appointment with us is their only opportunity to see a veterinarian in their lifetime. Spay and neuter prevents more litters of kittens from being born and suffering from predators, parasites, illness, and starvation. Our community cats routinely get Rabies and FVRCP vaccines, which help protect them and other cats in the colony. Male cats who are neutered are less likely to roam and fight, reducing their likelihood of injury.

But CPAW does so much more than spay/neuter and vaccines.

If our community cats are injured or sick, they get antibiotics. If they have fleas and other parasites, they receive treatment. If our community cats are having trouble eating, they get their teeth cleaned and extractions if necessary. If consultations, x-rays or bloodwork are required for an accurate diagnosis, we spare no expense. Our clinics provide amputations and remove hernias and polyps. If cats are suffering, we compassionately help them cross the rainbow bridge with dignity.

We're asking members of our community to donate to The Hope Fund so that we can continue to provide high quality care to the cats who need it most. Please consider donating today to cover:

$25 - flea treatment

$50 - antibiotics

$150 - x-rays

$250 - bloodwork

$500 - dental

$1,000 - amputation

$1,500 - eye surgery

Thank you for helping us help them live happier, healthier lives!

Please consider making your donation recurring to help more cats.
