Register for HAMV's Discussion on Ageism at Stillpoint!

Event date: Thursday, July 31, 2025
Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: Stillpoint20 Stillpoint Meadows Road, West Tisbury

Join Healthy Aging Martha's Vineyard for a community discussion on creating an island where, whether young or older, age is not a factor for discrimination. Director of the UMass Gerontology Institute’s Center for Social & Demographic Research on Aging, Caitlin Coyle, Ph.D, and HAMV Board chair, Robert Laskowski, will moderate this conversation exploring ageism—stereotyping and discrimination based on age—and how it impacts our community.

Through guided dialogue, participants will explore aging's challenges and opportunities while considering how to build a community that welcomes and respects all ages.

This conversation is open to all Martha's Vineyard residents and guests! Your perspective matters in creating positive change. No experience required—just bring your willingness to engage in thoughtful dialogue about something we're all doing: growing older.
