Coach Eastman Scholarship Fund
A dedicated member of the Springfield School District Board of Directors and a valued member of our community

Coach Phil Eastman has been a Springfield resident for the past 40 years and raised two children in the district.
He recently retired from a 44-year career with PECO and Exelon.
For 28 years, Eastman coached youth and high school ice hockey, including 17 years as the varsity head coach at Springfield High School.
In announcing his death, the district said Eastman considered mentoring student athletes and helping them develop teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and other lifelong skills to be the most rewarding aspect of his coaching career.
Springfield School District’s hearts are especially with Maureen, Phil’s family, his friends, his former players, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Please keep the Eastman family in your thoughts as they navigate this unimaginable loss.”
